Global Equity Fellowship

About the Fellowship

The Global Equity Fellowship is an opportunity for YouthBuild alumni to become self-aware, authentic, accessible, and empathetic leaders that lean into curiosity, courage, collaboration, and collective problem solving. During the 10-month long fellowship, eight alumni from across the global YouthBuild network will follow an equity leadership framework. They will participate in professional development discussion groups, workshops, dynamic speaker series and mentor opportunities, as well as receive a first look at national leadership opportunities.

Fellows will convene remotely each month with YouthBuild USA staff, partners, and expert equity facilitators to help foster a virtual culture based on the YouthBuild model. The fellowship will feature: a curriculum centered around amplifying youth voice; a trauma-sensitive, mindful, curious, and empathetic approach; leadership and guidance from compassionate and understanding opportunity youth allies; and culturally competent content.

The fellowship begins in March and ends in December. The program will conclude with a capstone project where fellows present their learnings over the10 months. Each fellow will receive a $2,000 stipend.
