YouthBuild Global Announces Champion Circle Community of Supporters

YouthBuild Global has announced YouthBuild’s Champion Circle, a community of valued supporters who contribute annual gifts of $10,000 or more to the nonprofit organization. Contributions at this level will bolster YouthBuild Global’s work as the headquarters for the YouthBuild movement—unifying and partnering with an expansive network of YouthBuild programs around the world, championing opportunity youth as they achieve their ambitions and reach their full potential.

Members of the Champion Circle demonstrate visionary leadership and a commitment to YouthBuild students as they reclaim their lives, gain job skills and credentials, and become leaders in their communities. Inaugural members of the YouthBuild Champion Circle include valued partners and supporters Michele Courton Brown, Patrick and Karen Driscoll, Clifford Johnson and Nadine Horenstein, Chi Kim, Stanley and Linda Rumbaugh, Kathleen Witsil, and others.

Opportunity youth are in greatest need of access to the tools to succeed, and they are the greatest source of untapped potential to bolster economic mobility and transform the world. This need remains acute: in the United States alone, most recent numbers point to a youth disconnection rate of 10.9 percent, or 4,343,600 disconnected youth. Globally, that number rises to more than 269 million. The harms of youth disconnection accrue for young people and society at large, resulting in reduced competitiveness, higher health costs, higher social services costs, increased criminal legal activity, increased rates of homelessness and more. By reconnecting young people to education, leadership training and opportunities to earn job skills and credentials, the YouthBuild network ensures long-term professional and personal success for young people, building brighter futures for them, their families, their neighborhoods and our world.

Individuals, couples, families or family foundations are welcome to join the Champion Circle as Bronze ($10,000 to $24,999), Silver ($25,000 to $99,999), Gold ($100,000 to $249,999), or Platinum ($250,000 and above) Level Champions. Employer-matched giving, donor-advised fund donations or other types of donor-directed giving may count towards membership for the initiating donor, family, or foundation in the Champion Circle.
