YouthBuild USA is proud to announce the publication of two new resources on building financial capability with opportunity youth.
Developed with generous support from Bank of America, these papers share insights gained through a recent financial capability discovery project created by YouthBuild USA’s Alumni Services, Career Pathways, and Education Teams. The voices, leadership, and lived experiences of YouthBuild program staff members, students, recent graduates, and alumni powered the development of this effort. The resources offer tools to help YouthBuild programs and partners evaluate, design, and implement financial capability resources, practices, and curricula.
Designed for use by YouthBuild staff and alumni, Building Financial Capability with Opportunity Youth offers guidance on how to provide students with accessible and inclusive financial resources and tools that help develop the skillsets and mindsets that lead to financial stability.
Adapted for use by national and local YouthBuild partners, Building Financial Capability with YouthBuild Programs and Opportunity Youth includes suggested approaches and considerations for designing and implementing opportunity-youth-centered financial capability resources, products, and services.
The insights captured in these resources leave no doubt: opportunity youth need accessible and inclusive financial resources and tools to build the skillsets and mindsets that lead to financial stability.
