Finance and technology leader Andrea Cobaugh has joined the Board of Directors of YouthBuild USA, the global nonprofit that champions opportunity youth—young adults between the ages of 16 and 24 who are neither in school nor employed—as they as they reclaim their education, gain job skills, and become leaders in their communities.
Cobaugh joins the Board as director of strategy and programs for CDW Corporations’ Integrated Technology Solutions business. She brings decades of experience at the intersection of finance and technology to YouthBuild USA, with deep knowledge of business development, program execution, data integration, investment management, and more.
Cobaugh previously held roles with General Electric Co. and the ADT Corp. before joining CDW in 2008. She holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from The Pennsylvania State University and an MBA from the University of Miami. She currently lives in West Palm Beach, Florida.
“I am honored to join the YouthBuild movement in service to opportunity youth,” Cobaugh said. “I am particularly excited about its dedication to expanded career pathways and the building of affordable housing. This commitment not only ensures stable living environments but also cultivates a strong sense of community and belonging. This role aligns perfectly with my passion for driving positive change and supporting the next generation of leaders. I look forward to contributing to YouthBuild’s transformative mission and helping to achieve impactful success for opportunity youth.”
“We’re so energized that Andrea has joined our Board,” said John Valverde, president and CEO of YouthBuild USA. “Her distinct expertise in finance, technology, and strategy will strengthen YouthBuild USA’s governance, measurement, and planning operations, all while informing our work to strengthen our network of programs and equip opportunity youth with the resources they need to build the next best versions of themselves—and, in particular, to prepare for a modern workforce. The YouthBuild movement will be greatly served by her leadership and expertise.”
With love and respect, YouthBuild partners with opportunity youth to build the skillsets and mindsets that lead to lifelong learning, livelihood, and leadership. Responding to the urgent need for knowledge, training, and opportunity, YouthBuild primarily serves young people who lack a high school diploma and financial resources. YouthBuild USA is the nonprofit support center for a global network of more than 280 local YouthBuild programs in 15 countries, with 223 programs in 47 U.S. states and territories and 61 programs in 14 other countries.
