On December 9, YouthBuild USA hosted Building Better Together: A Deeper Dive Into YouthBuild, a virtual celebration of our students, programs, and partners. This year’s event included the first segment of a new “Speaker Series” featuring authentic and intimate conversations with YouthBuild alumni, staff, students and experts in the field. This series is designed to take a “deeper dive” into YouthBuild’s dynamic and multifaceted approaches to partnering with young people around the world.
The conversation centered around the importance of mentorship and unconditional support, shedding light on the “secret sauce” that all YouthBuild programs share: love. YouthBuild believes that young people do not need fixing; they need champions who see them for who they really are, who see the power they possess, and who believe in them. Participants learned more about how YouthBuild programs help young people pursue their education, prepare for future careers, and grow into community leaders – building brighter futures for themselves, and their neighborhoods.
