Unrestricted gifts allow YouthBuild USA to direct funds to where they are needed most.
YouthBuild USA relies on unrestricted funds to support advocacy and innovative programmatic initiatives not yet covered by restricted public or private foundation, or corporate funds.
Every $1 donated leverages approximately $400 in public funds.
YouthBuild USA currently spends under $400,000 a year on all forms of federal and state advocacy; these expenditures result in close to $80 million of public funds for local YouthBuild programs each year. Advocacy includes leadership opportunities for young people to learn the legislative process and to meet with their elected officials.
The YouthBuild Asset Trust distributes grants and scholarships directly to outstanding YouthBuild graduates so they can go to college, buy their own homes, start their own businesses or nonprofits, or overcome unexpected setbacks.
